About The Gafney Library

Gafney Library was established through the trust of Judge Charles B. Gafney in 1925. It’s a charming space that is packed full of books, DVDs, CDs and so much more!  The library supports many programs for adults, teens and young children.

Why Art at the Gafney?

A way to support the library and the arts! A win-win fundraiser!

As with other non-profit organizations, the Gafney depends on fundraising to supplement its income.  As a small rural town, we are very fortunate to be surrounded by so many talented artists. Given any month, you can browse our library walls to view that month's currently featured artist - any month except June and July.  These two months are devoted to any artists that wish to participate in our raffle fundraiser.  They donate a piece and have the ability to display a second piece for sale.  Each donated piece is raffled off - winners being picked at our closing reception.
